Montgomery, Ala. - The Shorter College Hawks dropped a pair of SSAC games Sunday as they were swept by Faulkner 8-5 and 8-2 in Montgomery, Ala.

In game one, Dustin Bowers took the loss on the mound for Shorter (13-26, 5-15) while Ryan Murphy led the team at the plate with a 2-for 3 performance. Mark Charrette added two RBIs.

Faulkner had four home runs in the first game.

No Hawks player had more than one hit in the nightcap as Faulkner rolled to a 6-0 lead in the first four innings.

Shorter will finish the conference series today at 3 p.m.
