Defending National Champs AUM blank Shorter, 9-0



AUM won the national title last season.

Montgomery, Ala. - Top-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery defeated Shorter College in a 9-0 shut out in men's college tennis action.

AUM won all three doubles matches by scores of 8-3, 8-2 and 8-2. All six singles matches were straight set wins for the Senators.

AUM moves to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in conference action while Shorter falls to 2-2 and 0-1. The Senators will travel to Cleveland, Tenn., to face Lee University in their next action on Thursday, February 28 at 1:30 p.m. The match was originally scheduled for yesterday (Friday) but was rained out.
