Rome, Ga. - The Shorter College Lady Hawks basketball team are proud to announce the signing of Pope High School standout Allison Danner.

Danner, a 5'9" point guard coached by Cedric King, has scored over 1000 points in her career and over 120 three-pointers in the tough 5A division. She was the Cobb County Tip-off Club Player of the Month for November & December 2007 and was named to the All-Region team her junior season.

In addition to her high school experience, she has attended the Tennessee Tech University Team Camp, the Troy University Team Camp and the Peach State Elite 100 Showcase.

"We feel like we're getting the type of person and player we want involved in our program," said Shorter College head coach Vic Mitchell. "She'll be able to come in and compete for playing time as a freshman because of her ability to shoot the ball, and because of her work ethic."
