Young Harris, Ga. - Shorter's women's tennis team traveled to Young Harris College Friday and came away with a nearly perfect 8-1 non-conference win improving its record to 2-1.

Lydie Ratsaraefadahy took the No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-2, while Caroline Robert shut out her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Danielle Monteith won No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-2, Giuliana Luconi was victorious in No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-3, and Carolina Brigneti won in No. 5 singles 7-6, 6-0. Kristy Walker took the team's only loss (0-6, 6-7) in No. 6 singles.

In doubles action, the team of Ratsaraefadahy and Robert won their No. 1 match 8-0. Luconi and Brignetti took No. 2 doubles 8-5 and No. 3 doubles went to Monteith and Walker 8-6.
