Loudonville, N.Y. - Sophomore guard Natasha Morris posted her second straight solid performance in less than a month against the Saints, pacing the Peahens with 20 points in a 64-51 Saint Peter's victory this evening at the Alumni Recreation Center. Senior tri-captain Laura Menty tallied 11 points in the loss, in the process moving past Vicki Aromando '82 for sixth place on Siena's all-time scoring list.

Following a sluggish start from both squads, Saint Peter's (14-7, 6-4) opened a ten point cushion at 17-7 on a Morris layup at the 12:15 mark. The Saints (7-13, 3-7) would not pull within single digits again in the half.

Freshman forward Serena Moore paced the Green and Gold posting a career high six points in the first half as the Saints headed to intermission trailing 29-18. The 18 points scored were the fewest in a half by the Saints this season.

In the second half, the Peahens got into early foul trouble but Siena could not capitalize as they shot just 14-27 from the free throw line.

Saint Peter's utilized full court pressure for the majority of the ball game, securing 15 steals on 23 Siena turnovers. Regardless, the Saints hung tough and were able to pull as close as 42-34 with 10:21 remaining following a pair of Menty free throws.

Despite sub par shooting throughout, the Peahens rattled off a 12-4 run over the next seven minutes to put the game away.

Peahens' guard Tania Kennedy complimented Morris' performance with 19 points of her own, while freshman forward Charlene Riddick added 10 points and eight rebounds coming off the bench.

Melissa Manzer led all Siena scores with 14 points, all of which came after the half. In just her tenth game since returning from injury, Heather Stec posted her fourth double-double and fifth 10+ rebound performance, tallying ten points to go along with a season-best 15 rebounds.

The Saints will conclude their three game home stand on Sunday afternoon as they look to "Pack the House" against archrival Marist. Tip time is slated for 2 p.m.
