Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena water polo team fell to George Washington 7-5 this afternoon on the final day of the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J. Freshman utility Nicole Hagi finished a strong weekend with a pair of goals. The loss dropped Siena to 0-4 on the season.
The Colonials built an early 3-0 lead after the first period. The Saints would rally to get within 5-4 entering the final period but could get no closer.
Hagi, who scored a pair of goals in Siena's three games yesterday, followed up a strong performance with two more scores this afternoon. Fellow freshman Jackie Crosby and last year's leading scorer Lauren Garrigan supplied the Saints other goals.
The Saints will return to action Saturday when they travel to Erie, Pa. for a trio of games against Gannon, Mercyhurst and Penn State (Behrend). Siena's first game gets underway at 10 a.m.
