HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss defensive back Brandon Sumrall tallied five solo tackles and added a punt return for four yards in the second annual Texas Versus The Nation game played Saturday at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.

Sumrall's tackle total tallied the second-best output of his team in the contest.

After a scoreless first quarter, Texas went on to score 14 points in the second quarter, 13 in the third and 14 more in the fourth quarter to second the victory. The Nation got just seven points in the second and fourth quarters.
