HATTIESBURG, Miss. - It will be Saturday Night Lights for Southern Miss to mark the debut of the Larry Fedora era as the athletics department announced today that the annual spring game will take place at 6 p.m., April 12, at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium. "With all the excitement that there has been regarding Golden Eagle football, we thought it was a great time to move the spring game to a night setting and give as many of our fans that we could the opportunity to see the hard work that has gone on with Coach Fedora, his staff and players," Southern Miss director of athletics Richard Giannini said. "We are planning a full day of activities for our fans and we want them to come and spend the day with us on campus." The game will give Golden Eagle fans the first opportunity to witness Fedora and his staff as they finish up their initial spring drills with the squad. "This is an exciting opportunity to showcase our team for the first time to our fan base under the lights," said Southern Miss coach Larry Fedora. "This gives people an opportunity to see the baseball game in the afternoon and then come over to watch the spring football game." Activities are in the process of being planned all day on campus. One of those activities involves the Southern Miss baseball team, which will move its non-conference baseball game with Arkansas State from 4 p.m., to 2 p.m. Ticket prices have been set at $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under for the spring game and will go on sale, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 8 a.m. Purchases can be made either at the Pat Ferlise Athletic Ticket office, via phone at 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or via the internet at SouthernMiss.com.
