HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Eagle Club will be holding its annual Golden Moon Eagle Classic, March 8-9, at the Pearl River Resort in Philadelphia, Miss. This year's event will honor former Golden Eagle and NFL quarterback Reggie Collier and the two-day event includes a celebrity social Saturday night and a scramble round of golf on Sunday. The social will include heavy hors d'oeuvres as well as a live and silent auction. NFL standouts that are expected to attend include Michael Boley, Louis Lipps, Ray Guy, Bobby Humphrey, Mike Rozier, Hugh Green, Derek Hamilton, Fred Cook, Bobby Hamilton, Kris Mangum, Todd Pinkston, Sammy Winder, Aubrey Matthews, Kent Hull, Bud Brown, Michael Jackson, Adalius Thomas, Kevin Turner and Bobby Myrick. Southern Miss coach Larry Fedora, as well as former coach Bobby Collins, and Ray Perkins are also scheduled to appear. All proceeds from the tournament will help fund the Reggie Collier Endowment. Cost of the package is $150 and for those wanting an optional practice round of golf on Saturday that cost is an additional $40. Room rates are $75 for Saturday night and $55 for Sunday night.
