HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss took advantage of a perfect spring day with a late afternoon football practice at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility here Thursday. The Golden Eagles went through a 2 ½ hour workout in shoulder pads and shorts as Coach Larry Fedora and his staff continued to install parts of both their offensive and defensive schemes. After working the first hour on individual drills and stretching, the team went through several periods of simulated scrimmaging. It was the sixth practice of the spring for the Golden Eagles. Southern Miss returns to the field Saturday morning to complete its second week of workouts. The annual Spring Game is set for 6 p.m., April 12, at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Please call 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or go online 24 hours-a-day at SouthernMiss.com.
