Spring Game Rosters
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - It looked like rain was going to hamper the Southern Miss football team as they went out for their 13th spring practice here Friday afternoon at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility.
Once practice began, though, the showers went away and the Golden Eagles were able to go through a 1 ½ hour workout in shoulder pads and shorts prior to Saturday's annual Black and Gold Spring Football Game. The game is slated for 6 p.m., at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth.
Southern Miss continued its installation process of offensive and defensive elements and then broke the final portion of practice into the two squads that will compete in Saturday's contest.
"We only used the last 20 minutes of practice working on tomorrow's game specifically and broke up into the Black and Gold squads," Golden Eagle coach Larry Fedora said. "We used the remainder of the practice on working on getting better for next season and adding new things to both our offensive and defensive system."
Southern Miss finishes its spring drills in a Tuesday afternoon practice.
For those fans that cannot attend the game, the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network will broadcast the game on Rock 104 (104.5, WXRR-FM) with the pregame show beginning at 5:30 p.m. The audio feed is also available through SouthernMiss.com and CSTV All-Access. Please note there is a fee associated with the internet audio feed.
