HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Three Former Golden Eagles will be on the field this Saturday in the Arena Football League's American Conference Championship Game between the San Jose SaberCats and the Grand Rapids Rampage. The SaberCats have former Southern Miss player Ronald Jones (2002-03) and the Rampage have former Golden Eagles Tom Johnson (2004-05) and Terrell Browden (2000-03) on their 24 player rosters. The winner of Saturday's ACC Game will advance to Arena Bowl XXII in New Orleans on July 27 and face off against either the Cleveland Gladiators or the Philadelphia Soul for the Arena League title. For San Jose this season, Jones has 18.5 tackles including 12 solo's while also recording five sacks. He is in his third season in the AFL and his second with San Jose. In his first season with the SaberCats he recorded eight sacks and was named second-team All-AFL. The Rampage's Tom Johnson begins is playing his first season in the AFL after spending time with the Indianapolis Colts and in NFL Europe since leaving Southern Miss. This season he has 5.5 tackles, five of which were solo and one sack from his defensive line position. Terrell Browden is in his second season playing in the AFL, his first with the Rampage. He has three rushing touchdowns this season from his fullback position on eight rushes for 20 yards. From his linebacker spot he has recorded 3.5 tackles including one solo and five assist.
