Jacksonville, Ala. - Southern Miss sits in fourth place at the Grub Mart Intercollegiate, after shooting rounds of 301 and 303 for a two-round total of 604. The tournament is being hosted by Jacksonville State, and is being played at the Silver Lakes Golf Course. Senior Kyle Ramey (73-77) and junior Rocky Cleland (76-74) are tied for 13th after shooting a six-over par 150. Redshirt sophomore Paul Apyan is in a tie for 24th after shooting a 152 (74-78). Sophomore Wes Carter shot a 155 (78-77) to sit in 35th-place. Sophomore Tyler Sparks rounds out the field for the Golden Eagles with an 81-76 (156) for a tie for 39th-place. Host school Jacksonville State leads the team scoring with 581 overall strokes (287-294). Murray State is in second with 586 strokes (300-286), while Presbyterian sits in third with 597 strokes (297-300). Southern Miss is in fourth at 604 (301-303), and Armstrong Atlantic is in fifth at 610 (307-303). UT-Martin is in sixth at 611 (308-303), followed by Columbus State (301-311) and Jacksonville State's White Team (307-305) at 612, High Point at 614 (307-307), Stetson at 618 (309-309), Morehead State at 620 (309-311) and Nicholls State at 630 (321-309). There is a three-way tie at the top of the leader board. Jacksonville State's Gonzalo Berlin (71-74) and Marcus Harrell (71-74), along with Cameron Carrico of Murray State (77-68) all shot a two round total of 145 for a one-stroke lead. The tournament finishes up Tuesday morning with the final 18. Play begins at 8:00 a.m. from the No. 1 and No. 10 holes.
