HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's tennis team is set to host the 2008 Conference USA Shootout this weekend at the Racquet Club of Hattiesburg and the Hattiesburg Country Club. The event is a four-team round robin tournament.

The Pirates (5-4) start with a match on Friday, Feb. 22 against UAB (1-1) at 9 a.m., followed by Southern Miss (1-6) and UCF (2-3) at 1 p.m.

The same format will be used on Saturday and Sunday. The Golden Knights will play the Blazers at 9 a.m., Saturday, followed by Southern Miss and East Carolina at 1 p.m.

The Shootout concludes on Sunday with East Carolina facing UCF at 9 a.m., and the Eagles playing in the final match at 1 p.m., against UAB.

SHOOTOUT SCHEDULE:
Match 1: Friday, Feb. 22 - East Carolina vs. UAB, 9:00 a.m.
Match 2: Friday, Feb. 22 - Southern Miss vs. UCF, 1 p.m.
Match 3: Saturday, Feb. 23 - UCF vs. UAB, 9 a.m.
Match 4: Saturday, Feb. 23 - Southern Miss vs. East Carolina, 1 p.m.
Match 5: Sunday, Feb. 24 - East Carolina vs. UCF, 9 a.m.
Match 6: Sunday, Feb. 24 - Southern Miss vs. UAB, 1 p.m.
