GULF SHORES, Ala. - Clara Viladomiu shot an eight over par 80 in the final round to lead the Golden Eagles to a 12th-place finish at the UAB Fall Beach Blast, being played at The Pensacola Golf and Racquet Club.

Viladomiu, a sophomore from Barcelona, Spain, finished the two-day event with a score of 160.

Virginia Espejo tied for 38th-place after shooting an 80 to finish with a two-day total of 182.

Heather Golden shot an 85 to finish 21-over par 165, tied for 52nd-place. Rebecka Nilsson finished in 55th-place after shooting an 86 (166) and Samantha Holt finished in 58th with a 168 (84-84).

Amber Littman of East Carolina won the individual tournament title by shooting a 75 to finish with a two-day total of 145, one-over for the event.

East Carolina won the team title with 589 overall strokes. UT-San Antonio finished in second with 680 strokes, while Louisiana-Monroe finished third with 612 strokes. Samford finished fourth at 616, followed by UT-Pan American at 619, Columbia at 622, Jacksonville State at 625, Arkansas-Little Rock at 630, Indiana State at 638, Eastern Kentucky at 642, Marshall at 644, Southern Miss at 651, UAB at 657, and Lipscomb at 658.

The tournament ends the fall portion of Southern Miss' 2007-08 schedule.
