Megan Hill

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Junior pitcher Samantha Davis (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) and sophomore outfielder Megan Hill (Hattiesburg, Miss.) were named second team All-Conference USA as announced by the league's office today.

Davis has been the go-to pitcher for Southern Miss this season, recording a 15-10 record. She has pitched 174.0 innings with an ERA of 2.49 and struck out 86 batters, while allowing 47 walks. Davis registered four complete game shutouts, including two against C-USA teams. She owns a 9-6 in league play, starting 15 games and completing 13. She worked 100.0 innings with an ERA of 3.08. This is Davis' first all-conference honor.

Hill currently leads the team in batting (.336) for the second-straight year. She is one of four players to play and start every game this season. She ranks first on the team in hits, runs, triples, home runs, RBI, total bases, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. She tallied a team-high 35 walks, while striking out 14 times in 152 at-bats. Last season, she was a second team all-conference selection, Newcomer of the Year and a member of the all-freshman team. She is second on team in batting (.308) against C-USA teams, while being limited to 57 at bats against C-USA teams.

With the two all-conference performances, Southern Miss now has 22 that have earned all-league honors.
