Andrea Kvetova Earns C-USA Postgraduate Scholarship

IRVING, Texas (C-USA/SMU)--SMU track and field athlete Andrea Kvetova was named a recipient of a Conference USA Postgraduate Scholarship, as announced by C-USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky Monday. The conference presented 11 athletes with the $4,000 awards, as selected by the Faculty Athletics Representatives and approved by the Board of Directors. Kvetova, who recently helped her Mustangs to a 19th-place finish at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finished fourth in the javelin event, earning All-America honors. Kvetova is a three-time NCAA qualifier and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in International Economics at SMU, after completing her bachelor's in finance with an economics minor.
