The Southern University men's golf team shot a combined 992 to finish at +128, 72 shots behind winner Jackson State to finish fourth at the 2008 SWAC Golf Championships.

SU's Gregory Alex Scott, finished tied for 10th overall individually, shooting rounds of 78, 81 and 76 to finish with a score of 235 (+19). Edgar Evans was the only other Jaguar to finish in the top 20. Evans shot rounds of 85, 82 and 80 to finish with a score of 247 (+31).

Other Jaguar finishes include: Ervin Nixon (27th), who shots rounds of 85, 92 and 77 to finish with a score of 254 (+38); Joshua Martin (t-29th), who shots rounds of 83, 87 and 86 to finish with a score of 256 (+40); and Romer Alcala (37th), who shots rounds of 94, 98 and 87 to finish with a score of 279 (+63).
