Scouting Lafayette
After a 1-6 start, Lafayette (5-9, 0-0 Patriot League) has won four of its last seven games ... The Leopards dropped a 75-50 decision at Minnesota last weekend, coming on the heels of back-to-back wins over Sacred Heart and Arcadia ... Winless in seven road games, Lafayette is averaging 67.5 points and 29.4 rebounds while shooting 44.6 percent overall and 76.0 percent from the foul line ... But the Leopards have struggled defensively, allowing 75.5 points and 35.9 rebounds per game while allowing opponents to shoot 48.5 percent overall ... Keep an eye on: Dan Trist (14.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 56.8 percent FG), Seth Hinrichs (14.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 77.8 percent 3FG) and Tony Johnson (10.9 ppg, 57.4 percent FG, 67 assists) ... Lafayette finished 13-18 last year and was fifth in conference play at 7-7 ... Stanford defeated Lafayette 80-54 in the only previous meeting back on Dec. 3, 1982, on the opening day of the Stanford Invitational.

Stanford is now 50-16 against non-conference opponents under head coach Johnny Dawkins.
