ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure men's basketball freshman forward Matt Morgan earned his second consecutive A-10 Rookie of the Week award, announced by the league office on Sunday after an impressive performance off the bench against Charlotte.

Morgan is the fourth A-10 freshman this season to win the award in back-to-back weeks.

The Landover, Md. product topped his season-high in points for the third time in the last five games with a career-best 17 points on Saturday night against the 49ers. Morgan added seven rebounds, including five on the offensive end, while shooting 8-of-9 from the floor in 25 minutes of action.

Morgan has turned around his initial campaign in the Brown and White over the last five games, hitting for double figures in four of those games, including three straight. The athletic 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 11.6 points and 5.8 boards per game in the last five contests and is the team's fourth leading scorer (7.4) in A-10 play.

St. Bonaventure will make its second trip to the city of "Brotherly Love" on Wednesday for an A-10 clash against Saint Joseph's. Tip is slated for 7 p.m. at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
