Isaman placed 32nd in Hamilton, N.Y.
 
 
Bonnies compete at Harry Lang Invitational

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure cross country team competed in its second meet of the 2008 campaign as the women captured fifth, while the men tallied a sixth place result at the 14th annual Harry Lang Invitational earlier this afternoon.

In just her second collegiate race, sophomore Tiffany Barkley paced the women's side in the 4,200 meter race with a 33rd place finish in a time of 20:07. Junior Ashley Sandau (20:55) crossed the line shortly after Barkley in the 39th position.

The women's side also received stellar performances from freshman Elizabeth Moran (21:01/41st) and sophomore Kimberly Fuller (21:27/46th).

Veteran runner Justin Isaman paced the pack for the Bonnies, crossing the finish line in a team-best 21:42 for a 32nd place result. Junior Michael Grosso turned in a time of 21:59 to finish the 6K race in 36th followed by sophomore Jimmy Burton (22:14/40th).

Syracuse captured first place finishes in both the men's and women's races during the rainy conditions in Hamilton.

The Brown and White return to the course on Friday, September 19 at the National Catholic Championship hosted by Notre Dame. Race time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
