Bonnies to host Think Pink initiative on Saturday, Feb. 16

Feb. 8, 2008

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- The St. Bonaventure women's basketball team will participate in the nationwide Women's Basketball Coaches Association's "Think Pink" campaign on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4:30 p.m. when nationally ranked George Washington visits Bob Lanier Court at the Reilly Center.

The Bonnies are asking all fans to show their support in the fight against breast cancer by wearing pink to the Atlantic 10 Conference clash.

Members of the Brown and White will take part in the event by wearing pink t-shirts during pre-game warm-ups, while the Bona coaching staff and game administrators will also wear pink. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase the same t-shirts for $10 with all proceeds going to the Kay Yow/WBCA Breast Cancer Fund. Fans will also be asked to make a donation at the door.

St. Bonaventure is one of more than 800 universities, colleges and schools participating in the "Think Pink" initiative.

For information regarding "Think Pink" day at the Reilly Center, contact Brett Miller at (716) 375-7642.
