Bonnies come away with 6-1 victory over Robert Morris

ST BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's tennis team captured a 6-1 victory over Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon at the SBU Tennis Center. With the win, the Bonnies move to 2-13 in the spring season while Robert Morris, drops to 1-11 overall. The Brown and White captured five of six singles matches to secure the victory despite defaulting at the number six singles and number three doubles positions. Freshman Manuela Marin-Salcedo and sophomore Maria Barousse were victorious in both singles and doubles. Marin-Salcedo cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 straight-set win in first singles action before teaming with Barousse at number one doubles for an 8-1 triumph. Barousse coasted to a 6-0, 6-0 win in second singles. Junior Eileen Horgan was also victorious at her number five singles position 6-4, 6-2 to earn her first win of the spring season. The Bonnies return to action on April 7, when St. Bonaventure hosts Big 4 rival Niagara for a 3:00 p.m. match.
