QUEENS, N.Y. - After helping the Red Storm baseball team to a 4-0 week and a series sweep of West Virginia, the BIG EAST announced that senior right fielder Chris Anninos was named to the weekly honor roll.

Anninos batted 5-for-16 (.313) over four games and added five runs and six RBI. The right fielder was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI in an 18-5 win over FDU. Anninos also collected his first career triple and scored two runs against the Knights.

The right fielder was 1-for-4 in the opening game of the West Virginia series and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the tenth inning. The senior led off the tenth inning with a single and eventually moved to third. Anninos then raced home on a sacrifice fly and gave the Red Storm a 2-1 win and its third win in extra innings this year.

After plating a run with a sacrifice fly in a 10-3 win in the second game of the series, Anninos made his biggest impact of the week in the finale. In Sunday's 6-5 win, Anninos was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. With the Red Storm trailing 5-2 entering the bottom of the ninth, Anninos blasted a game-tying three run home run to tie the game at 5-5. The Red Storm went on to the complete the sweep after a walk off solo home run gave the team a 6-5 win.

With 11 home runs this season, Anninos is now tied for seventh in the all-time single season record books. Anninos is also tied for fifth all-time with 23 career home runs. With six RBI on the week, the senior also surpassed the 100 career RBI mark and now has 103.
