Daytona Beach, Fla. - The St. John's men's golf team took fourth at the Bethune-Cookman Spring Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Sunday. The Red Storm, 15-over 591 (299, 292), finished behind host Bethune-Cookman (one-over), second place Stetson University (five-under) and winner Florida Golf Coast (eight-under). The Red Storm was led by senior co-captain Keegan Bradley. Bradley, an All-American candidate, finished the tournament tied for seventh, with a one-under 143 (74, 69). The senior came back from being tied for fourteenth after the first day, scoring the third lowest score of the day. Sophomore sensation Mike Ballo Jr. continued his great play this season, finishing tied for fourteenth with a four-over 148 (75, 73). Kevin Velardo and Evan Beirne also golfed well for the Red Storm, placing tied for seventeenth with a six-over 150. The Red Storm golf team now heads to Huaracoa, Puerto Rico to host the Palmas Del Mar Intercollegiate. As of Feb. 19th Ballo Jr. and Bradley were tied for 62nd in the Golfstat Cup with a 70.94 scoring average in seventeen rounds.
