Yesterday was a long day, but It was a very successful one. I played my practice round and learned a lot about the course and how I will play it tomorrow. The course is in great shape and should be a good test for all the competitors. It is very exciting to be competing against all these great players from across the country. I feel very fortunate to be here and hope to do my school proud as well as my team. I miss the team a lot and it isn't the same without them. But again, I know they will be pulling for me, which is a huge help on the course. There is some rain in the forecast for today, but luckily growing up in New England, I am used to some unpleasant weather. Thanks for checking in.

Go St. John's!

Council Fire Country Club is a very nice course and fine facility. UT Chattanooga has done a wonderful job of organizing the NCAA East Regional. There are over 140 volunteers working positions ranging from walking scorers to van drivers taking golfers to the practice range. Practice rounds were only four and a half hours long and it was very enjoyable. Keegan is paired with Jonny Caldwell from South Alabama and Jose Toledo from New Orleans. It is a good pairing as their coaches are friends of mine. Last night we attended a players banquet at the hotel which was very nice. It is great seeing Keegan sitting a table over from Georgia, the number one ranked team in the country. He easily could have played for them. I am just glad we had him for the last four years. The coaches' meeting was informative and it is an honor to be in the same room with all the coaches of these NCAA regional teams and knowing that we are a respected program.

Best Regards,
Head coach Frank Darby
