QUEENS, N.Y. - Senior attackman Tom Michaelsen earned his second ECAC honor roll mention this month for his season-high five-point performance in the Red Storm's 10-7 victory over Fairfield on Saturday amidst the senior day festivities. Michaelsen's four helpers also marked a career high in assists for the Bethpage, N.Y., native. His previous record was three against Hobart in his freshman season. The senior has tallied a career total of 111 points (68 goals, 43 assists) and is currently seventh in the league in assists per game (1.0) and also becomes the fifth player in St. John's history to compile more than 40 goals and 40 assists. Michaelsen netted the Red Storm's (2-10, 2-5 ECAC) second goal of the game breaking the 1-1 tie at 7:20 in the first period. The Stags had tied the game up at one 14 seconds earlier. After his goal, Michaelsen had a hand in four Red Storm goals, helping St. John's take a 9-2 lead into the third period. Michaelsen has 18 points on the season with eight goals and 10 assists. With the 10-7 win over Fairfield, St. John's tied its all-time conference win-record, (two games) which the team set last season with a 13-10 victory over Hobart, also on senior day.
