QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's women's golf team traveled to Sebring, Fla. this weekend to compete in the NIU Springlake Invitational at the par 72, 5,920 yard, Springlake Golf Resort and Country Club. The Red Storm took fourth overall with a 656 (321, 335). The team faced some tough competition in Florida Gulf Coast, Drake, and Georgetown, but managed to finish ahead of its BIG EAST rival; the Hoyas. St. John's was once again lead by senior Brittany Lambertson. Lambertson finished tied for seventh overall with a 159 (79, 80). Lambertson has been one of the most consistent players in the BIG EAST this year. Sophomore Renee Cloutier turned in a solid outing as well, finishing tied for 14th with a 161 (77, 84). Cloutier's 77 in the first round was the tenth lowest score of the entire tournament. The Red Storm will now travel to Port St. Lucie, Fla. to compete in the Rutgers Dual.
