Queens, N.Y. - The St. John's women's golf team, 103-over 967 (316, 319, 332) took seventh overall at the Hoya Invitational in Beallsville, Md. The tournament, hosted by Georgetown, was held at the Members Club at Four Streams. The Red Storm was paced by two top-ten finishes by senior Brittany Lambertson and sophomore Lois Kim.

"Lois and Brittany played very well for us," said head coach Ambry Bishop. "We went up against a tough field and will benefit from it later on in the season. The weather was difficult but we played through it."

Lambertson continues to lead the play of St. John's grabbing an eighth place finish at the Invitational. The senior finished with a 16-over 232 (74, 77, 81). Her first round 74 was the lowest score of the round and fifth lowest of the event.

Kim entered the tournament coming back from an injury and posted one of her best showings of the year. The sophomore finished in a tie for ninth and placed higher than she had all season and finished with a 17-over 233 (75, 79, 79).

The Red Storm women's golf team now returns back to the northeast to compete in the Roar EE Invitational in Mamaroneck, N.Y. The tournament, hosted by Columbia, will take place on April 11-12 at the Hampshire Country Club.
