HOWEY INN HILLS, Fla. – The St. John’s women’s golf team finished day one of the Treasure Coast Classic in second place with a 299 and are just five strokes behind first place Stetson.
Junior Brittany Lamberston, along with rookies Samantha Tejada and Lois Kim, led the Red Storm with a three-over par 74 and tied for fourth place. Freshman Renee Cloutier rounded out the top-10 finishes for St. John’s by tying for ninth place. She carded a six-over par 77. Classmate Ashley Szewczuk recorded an 86.
The Red Storm will be back in action at the three-day Treasure Coast Classic, Thursday, March 8 when round two of the tournament tee’s off from the Indian Hill Golf Course.
