Game Notes 
QUEENS, N.Y. -
The St. John's softball team (15-19, 2-4) will take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame (18-10, 1-1) in a doubleheader at Red Storm Field on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m. The next day, the Red Storm will face the No. 18/25 Blue Demons of DePaul (22-10, 1-1) at 11 a.m. in St. John's third doubleheader of the week.
The Red Storm trails the all-time series with Notre Dame 24-0. Last year at South Bend, Ind., the Irish took both games of a doubleheader.
DePaul leads the all-time series with the Red Storm,9-1. Last season in Chicago, the Blue Demons won both games by three runs against St. John's.
Currently, DePaul and Notre are tied for fifth in the BIG EAST. St. John's stands in ninth place.
St. John's is 2-0 this week after run-ruling Army in both games of a doubleheader, 9-1 and 8-0 in the first two games of the Red Storm's seven game home stand.
On the season, the Red Storm is undefeated at home with a 9-0 record.

Four Times The Funn
Graduate student Alyson Funn has turned it on as of late batting over .400 over the past week. The left fielder is batting .438 with three runs, a home run and 3 walks in seven games.
Lawrence Like Whoaaaa!
Freshman Kat Lawrence had a great week for St. John's recording a 1.53 ERA in three starts. The starter had two complete games and struck out 19 in 18.1 innings.
Main-taine The Pace Your On
Sophomore Shauntaine Harris capped off an outstanding week for the Red Storm. The center fielder enjoyed the best week of her season hitting .353 with 2 runs a double and a stolen base.
Brandy Bats For Average
Sophomore Brandy Reyes continues to be one of the best hitters in all of the BIG EAST. The second year catcher boasts a .378 average on the season with 31 hits and 14 RBI.
Geer-ing Up
Designated player Lisa Geer is batting .313 over the past seven games. The senior has two runs, two doubles, a home run and three RBI over the past week.
Durning Into A Good One
Freshman Chelsea Durning is batting .300 over the past week. The leadoff hitter has come through with 2 runs on six hits this past week. The right fielder has also not committed an error on the season.
Kacee Keeps It Coming
Freshman Kacee Cox has continued her power hitting ways, blasting her fifth home run over the past weekend. The third baseman also boasts 22 RBI on the season to go along with a .617 slugging percentage.
Danielle Doubles Up
Senior co-captain Danielle Estrada came through with a few big hits the week, pacing St. John's with two doubles and two stolen bases. The shortstop also had two runs and two RBI in the seven games.
Solid Struble
First baseman Roxy Struble followed up her BIG EAST Player of the Week award knocking in two runs and recording a double on five hits. The junior also had two runs and did not commit and error.
SCOUTING NOTRE DAME
The Fighting Irish went 32-24, 13-7, BIG EAST, last year and return seven starters and two pitchers from the 2007 squad.
Notre Dame is 18-10 this year and 1-1 in the BIG EAST.
Senior Katie Laing is doing it all this year. The shortstop is batting .337 in 28 starts and leads the Irish with 25 RBI, nine doubles and three triples. She also has 16 runs and three home runs on the year.
Speedster Sadie Pitzenberger leads Notre Dame in steals with eight. She also paces the Irish with a .340 batting average. The freshman also has 21 runs, four doubles and eight RBI.
Senior Sarah Smith is the third player on the Notre Dame roster to bat over .300 this year. The outfielder is batting .316 with 10 runs, two doubles and one stolen base.
Pitcher Brittney Bargar has proved to be one of the best in the conference. The junior boasts a 0.74 ERA and a 13-6 record in 16 starts. She has 13 complete games and struck out 107 batters in 113.1 innings this season.
SCOUTING DEPAUL
The Blue Demons went 47-13, 20-0 BIG EAST, a season ago and return seven starters and one pitcher from last year's team.
Currently, DePaul is 22-10 on the season and 1-1 in Conference play.
DePaul is paced by Amber Patton. The junior is batting .375 on the season with three doubles, 11 runs, four RBI and three stolen bases.
The RBI leader for the Blue Demons is Jackie Tarulli-Fisher. The junior catcher boasts 21 RBI to go along with a .270 average, seven runs and four home runs.
Senior Marcy Wilus has also been solid this year, batting .298. The first baseman also has 10 runs, 11 RBI and six stolen bases on the year.
DePaul is anchored by its pitching which has three players with an ERA under 1.90.
Becca Heteniak leads the Blue Demons with a 1.50 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 98.0 innings. The sophomore has an 11-5 record and 12 complete games in 14 starts.
Laura Frankiewicz also boasts 14 starts and a 1.85 ERA. The junior has seven complete games and has struck out 80 in 83.1 innings.
