PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's has earned the fifth seed in the 2008 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship and will open play against 12th-seeded Fordham on Wednesday, March 12 at 2:30 p.m. at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

The Hawks finished the regular season with an 18-11 record and 9-7 mark in A-10 play. Fordham went 12-16 and 6-10 in the league.

The winner of the SJU-Fordham game will advance to meet 4th-seeded Richmond in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Play in the championship continues on Friday with the semifinals at 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. with the title game slated for Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m.
