Men's Tennis Defeats La Salle, 5-0, and Saint Peter's, 4-1

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team earned a clean sweep of its opposition Saturday afternoon as the Hawks defeated La Salle, 5-0, and took down the hosting Saint Peter's squad by a 4-1 score. Junior Pat Adams was the star for SJU, winning singles matches in both contests in straight sets. Adams won his first flight match against La Salle, 6-2, 6-0, before shifting to the second flight against Saint Peter's. He dispatched his Peacock opponent, 6-4, 6-3, to seal his perfect day. Also performing well for the Hawks were senior Phil Garabedian and sophomore Matt Prusack, who won singles matches against the Explorers before teaming up to defeat their doubles opponents from Saint Peter's. Sophomore Nick Tuxen also won both a singles and a doubles match on Saturday afternoon. SJU returns to action Saturday against Colgate. Results
