Feb. 21, 2008
PHILADELPHIA - The six Philadelphia Division I field hockey institutions - Drexel, La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's, Temple, and Villanova - have announced the selection of the 2007 All-Philadelphia Field Hockey Team. Saint Joseph's seniors Rebecca Cunfer and Katie Young and freshman Jen Wrublesky were among the 16 honorees. Cunfer enjoyed arguably her best season as a Hawk in 2007 and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team. She was also chosen as the conference's Student Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season, which earned her Academic All-Conference honors for the third year in a row. She finished the season with a record of 11-9, with a 1.27 goals against average, 93 saves, and four shutouts. After leading the Hawks to back-to-back Atlantic 10 Championship Game appearances, she was named to the conference's All-Tournament Team. Young recorded eight assists from her defensive position, earning her second consecutive All-Conference Second Team selection. She started every single game of her four-year career, tying with teammate Brooke Henry for the top spot on the program's all-time games played list with 80. Wrublesky was SJU's leading scorer in 2007, tallying 10 goals and four assists for 24 points. She led all Atlantic 10 freshmen in scoring, and for her efforts was named the A-10 Rookie of the Year. Wrublesky was also the only first-year player on the All-Conference First Team. 2007 All-Philadelphia Field Hockey Team
