PHILADELPHIA - Batting an impressive .571 on the week, Saint Joseph's sophomore Brooke Darreff was recognized for her outstanding individual effort as she was named Atlantic 10 Softball Player of the Week for the week of March 2-9, conference officials announced Monday.

On Wednesday against Michigan State, Darreff went 4-of-6 for the Hawks, collecting three RBI in each game of the doubleheader, along with her first home run of the season. Darreff continued her solid performance at the plate at the University of South Florida Under Armour Invitational. Reaching safely in all of the tournament games, she finished 4-of-8, collecting two doubles and adding a RBI versus Penn State.

Darreff and the Hawks (2-8) return to action with a single game at Rider on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
