Veterans Pace Women's Track at Princeton Relays

PRINCETON, N.J.--An all-around effort by its veterans led the Hawks to a successful meet at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. Also mixing it up were two freshman who made their mark on the indoor track season.

Senior captain Jordan Teuber had two third place finishes in the 60m dash (8.03) and the 200m dash (25.80) for SJU. Junior distance runner Juli Stensland placed second in the 3,000m run in a time of (10:28.31).

Other successes at Princeton included two impressive efforts by freshmen distance runners Christina Morelli and Jessica Di Cicco in the mile. The duo finished second and third, respectively, posting times of (5:25.81) and (5:26.19).

Top finishes were also posted by Nicole McMullen who was third in the long jump (17' 11½''), fourth in the 200m dash (26.01). Erin Vanderhoof and Skylar Rea posted fourth place finishes in the high jump and the 500m dash, posting results of 5' 2¼'' and 1:21.61, respectively.

SJU ran two teams, one at Penn State and the other at Princeton this weekend. The Hawks travel to New England next weekend to compete at the Giegengack Invitational in New Haven, Conn.
