Australia finished Group C play undefeated after a 96-54 rout of Syria on Saturday, July 4, at the FIBA U-19 World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand.

SLU signee Cody Ellis tallied 11 points to go with five rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in just 15 minutes of play. Fellow future Billiken Christian Salecich chipped in two assists, one rebound and one steal in 14 minutes on the court. The Emus finished group play with a 3-0 record, including wins over Canada and Spain earlier in the week.

Australia returns to play on Monday, July 6, against an opponent to be determined.
