ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis senior defender Tim Ream (St. Louis, Mo./St. Dominic) earned a spot on CollegeSoccerNews.com's third-team preseason All-America squad.

Ream, a 2009 Atlantic 10 Conference's preseason All-Conference selection, has garnered All-Region accolades from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) the past two seasons. In addition, he has received All-Conference accolades in each of his three seasons with the Billikens, drawing second-team plaudits the past two years after earning All-Rookie recognition as a freshman. Last season, Ream helped anchor a Billiken defense that led the league in goals against average (0.76) and shutouts (11).

Ream is one of four A-10 players earning a spot on the CollegeSoccerNews.com preseason All-America Teams, joining J.T. Noone (Temple), Ben Arikian (UMass) and Alex Torda (Dayton).

The Billikens, ranked No. 24 in CollegeSoccerNews.com's preseason poll, report for preseason training Aug. 14. After a pair of exhibition games, SLU opens the season versus New Mexico Sept. 1 at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
