ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis out-shot Murray State 14-12, including a 10-6 edge in the second half and overtime, in a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

Senior Ashley Brazill (St. Charles, Mo./Incarnate Word) led the Billikens (0-1-1) with three shots. Sophomore Maggie Baumann (Wildwood, Mo./St. Joseph's) fired two shots on goal for Saint Louis. Sophie Hargreaves led Murray State (0-0-2) with three shots.

Murray State goalkeeper Tara Isbell made six saves, while SLU sophomore keeper Katie Walsh (Chesterfield, Mo./Whitfield) turned away four Racer shots on frame.

The Billikens earned a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks, including 7-2 in the second half and overtime.

The best thing that came out of today's game is that we now know we have to change our style a little bit and play differently," head coach Tim Champion said. "Defensively we're good, but we just have to change some of the things we're doing. We're disappointed with the result, but it was a good game to learn from."

Saint Louis travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the Duquesne Classic next weekend. First up for the Billikens in the two-game tournament is Towson on Friday, Aug. 27, at 4 p.m. (CT).
