DALLAS - Sophomore Alli Reimer netted her second goal of the season to cut a 2-0 deficit in half, but SMU held on for a 2-1 victory over Saint Louis Friday night at Westcott Field.

Reimer's goal, scored unassisted at the 59:58 mark, put the Billikens (1-2-2) back in the game. SLU tallied three late shots, including a header by Reimer with 24 seconds remaining, but could not register the equalizer.

SMU (2-1-1) took a 1-0 lead when Amanda Burgardt, assisted by Jessica Bartol, scored at 12:27. A goal by Shelby Redman at 50:56 made it 2-0.

Saint Louis travels to Indianapolis Friday, Sept. 10, to take on Butler at 4 p.m. (CT).
