Moraga, CA - Following the two-game sweep of the New Zealand Tall Blacks, the Australian National Team was cut to 13 players. With one player needing to be cut to make the 12-man Olympic roster, Saint Mary's point guard Patrick Mills is one player cut away from achieving his dream of playing for Australia in the Olympic games this summer in Beijing.

Following the 94-60 win over New Zealand on Saturday evening, Boomers head coach Brian Goorgian cut the 16-man roster to 13 players as the team heads to Europe for games in Croatia and Athens. The players remaining on the roster are David Andersen, Chris Anstey, David Barlow, Andrew Bogut, CJ Burton, Joe Ingles, Luke Kendall, Patrick Mills, Matthew Nielsen, Brad Newley, Shawn Redhage, Glen Saville, and Mark Worthington.

One more player will be released from the roster, which will be submitted to the AOC on July 4.

In the two games against New Zealand, Mills came off the bench to average 8.5 points per game. He led the team in scoring with 14 points in a 75-60 win for the Boomers on Thursday in New Zealand. In the second game on Saturday evening, Mills scored just three points in a little over 20 minutes, but handed out a game-high six assists in a 34-point blowout win.

Australia will play five matches while on tour, with a three game series against Croatia beginning on July 2 followed by games against Greece and Brazil in Athens.
