Results

Provo, UT - The Saint Mary's men's golf team posted rounds of 279 and 284 at the 2008 Ping Cougar Classic on Friday for a 36-hole total of 563 (-13). In the 14-team field, the Gaels will enter Saturday's final round in third place, four shots behind New Mexico State and two shots New Mexico.

Mike McRae capped his morning round 68 with a 2-under par 70 on the afternoon round from the par-72, 7,001-yard Riverside Country Club. McRae, who has finished in the top-6, including three second place finishes, is in contention for the fifth straight tournament. McRae will enter the final round two shots of the pace of the leaders.
