Moraga, CA - Achim Christner was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Eight First Team following his stellar academic and athletic achievements. Christner has accumulated a 3.98 GPA while majoring in Business Administration with a concentration on finance. The Holzelfingen, Germany native finished his undergraduate degree in three years, and will continue his Saint Mary's tennis career next season while pursuing his graduate degree.

This season Christner was named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention team for doubles, along with teammate Marek Dvorak. The award marked Christner's third All-WCC recognition, as he was an honorable mention honoree for singles and doubles in 2006. This season Christner and Dvorak combined for an 8-4 overall record and 4-2 mark against WCC opponents at the No. 2 doubles position, while helping the Gaels to their first ever WCC Championship appearance.
