McBride Added to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

March 27, 2008

Stony Brook, N.Y. - With a strong start to the 2008 men's lacrosse season, Stony Brook freshman Jordan McBride (New Westminster, British Columbia) has been named to the 2008 Tewaaraton Award watch list the Tewaaraton Award Foundation has announced. He is one of six players added to the list this week. The annual award is given to the top male and female lacrosse player in the nation.

McBride made a splash on the lacrosse scene earlier this season when he scored 10 goals at Delaware to lead Stony Brook to a 19-16 upset win over the then #7 Blue Hens. Through seven games this season he leads the Seawovles in goals (25) and points (32), ranking first in the nation in goals per game and points per game through March 23.

McBride has been honored twice this season by the America East Conference as its Rookie of the Week.
