Stony Brook, N.Y. - For the second time this season, freshman Kirsten Jeter (Elmont, N.Y.) has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Jeter averaged 13.5 ppg and 4.5 rpg in games against UMBC and Maine last week.

The Nassau County native is averaging 8.9 ppg and 4.0 rpg this season. Since joining the starting lineup against Hofstra on December 4, Jeter is averaging a team-high 10.5 points per game.

Stony Brook hosts state-rival Albany on Saturday, February 23. Tip-off at the Stony Brook Arena is scheduled for 2 pm.
