Analysis: Alabama State opens the 2010 season with an important two-game conference homestand - including divisional foe Mississippi Valley State - that gives the Hornets the opportunity to get off to a fast start in SWAC play.
After traveling to defending champion Prairie View and to Alcorn State, the Hornets return home to face former ASU offensive coordinator Johnnie Cole and Texas Southern. `Bama State will then hit the road to take on Grambling before getting non-conference home game with Savannah State.
The Hornets end the season with a brutal four game run that starts with archrival Alabama A&M in the Magic City Classic. ASU then takes on Jackson State in Montgomery, before heading down to Baton Rouge to take on Southern. ASU will end the season against Tuskegee in the Turkey Day Classic.
