Seniors Mike Hanschen (Austin, TX/Austin HS) and Chris Norris (Katy, TX/Katy HS) represented the SU track team this past weekend at the Baylor University Dr. Pepper Invitational and each posted a second place finish at the meet.

In the 100 meter dash, they finished second and third with Norris crossing in 11.04 and Hanschen in 11.14. Then, in the 200 meters, Norris posted a time of 22.35 for fourth while Hanschen took seventh with a time of 22.63. They also finished second and third in the long jump with Hanschen edging Norris by .06 meters. Hanschen recorded a distance of 6.38 meters and Norris a distance of 6.32 meters.

Hanschen, Norris and the rest of the Pirates men's and women's track teams will be competing this Friday (Mar. 28) and Saturday (Mar. 29) at the Victor Lopez Rice Bayou Classic.
