The SU and Trinity women's golf teams turned the tune-up round before the SCAC Championships in Danville, IN on Thursday (Apr. 24) in to a dual match between the two teams with the Pirates coming out on top by 27 strokes.

Sophomore Cody Wallace (Austin, TX/Lake Travis HS) shot the low round, firing an 80 (41-39). Delilah Dominguez (Bastrop, TX/Bastrop HS) was second, tallying an 82 (42-40).

Marisa Mauldin (Utopia, TX/Utopia HS) and Kristen Davenport (Mansfield, TX/Mansfield HS) both tied for third with an 83. First-year Victoria Dominguez (Bastrop, TX/Bastrop HS) fired an 88 (44-44) to take sixth place.

As a team, the Pirates shot 328 while Trinity totaled 355.

The SCAC Championships begin on Friday (Apr. 25) in Danville.
