Lions Tied for Ninth after First Day of the 2008 Pepsi Crawford-Wade Invitational

First Round Results in PDF Format Junior Blake Worden is tied for 11th along with four others to lead Texas A&M University-Commerce after the first day of the 2008 Pepsi Crawford-Wade Invitational at the Tanglewood Golf Resort in Pottsboro, Texas.
The Lions are tied for ninth among the 17-team field that battled wind gusts over 30mph and temperatures below 30 degrees in Monday's opening round. Despite a delayed start until 11:00 a.m., Southeastern Oklahoma State posted a 304 for a three-stroke lead after the first round. With the delayed start, the first round was condensed from 36 holes to 18. The Savage Storm are led by Brad Aycock, who is in second place after shooting a one-over par 73. Aycock leads the field with four birdies. Colby Shrum of Central Oklahoma is the individual leader with a one-under par 71. For the Lions, freshman Ryan Hickey, who is playing in his first tournament of the spring, is tied for 29th after shooting an 80. One
stroke behind Hickey is junior teammate Pinkey Hartline, who shot an
81. Freshman Danny Jun and sophomore Brian Pearce are tied for 52nd
(83) and tied for 69th (86), respectively.
