Blake Worden Finishes Tied for 14th at NCAA South Central Regional

Texas A&M University-Commerce junior Blake Worden finished in a tie for 14th with Patrick Hanauer of Abilene Christian at the NCAA South Central Regional on Wednesday at the Grey Rock Golf Club in Austin.
Worden shot a 54-hole total of 220 (73-71-76) over the course of the three days and 12 strokes behind the individual winner Peter Svajlen of Cameron. Svajlen came back from a four-stroke deficit to edge Collin Mayer of St. Edward's and to secure a spot in next week's NCAA Championship in Houston. Mayer and the Hilltoppers won the team title in a convincing fashion by 31 strokes over its closest competitor, Abilene Christian. St. Edwards, who is ranked No. 7 in the nation, shot a three-day total of 841 (278-280-283) to outdistance themselves from the field as ACU shot an 872 (299-292-281).
